Centennial hop pellets are described as carrying aromatic pine, citrus and floral notes. The flavours can also be referred to as Earthy with an element of citrus. They are very similar to Cascade too.
A popular recipe kit that makes use of Centennial hops is the John Finch American IPA.
In recent years, Centennial has become one of the most harvested hops in the US. Its production has increased by huge amounts within the last 5 years.
