Capping your Home Brew Beer Bottles

For these, you will also need to invest in a bottle capper and some bottle caps. Fortunately, we have a large range of different coloured bottle caps which you can use to differentiate which beer you are drinking. Some brewers may even like to have a key on the wall which they can refer to so they don’t pour the wrong pint!

We also supply 500ml Pet Beer Bottles / Cider Bottles with screw cap lids which are perfect for a cheaper and lightweight option. These are perfect for reusing and are also the easiest option for beginners as no additional bottling equipment is needed.

It’s important to reuse your beer bottles or cider bottles so you are doing your bit for the environment, once they have come to the end of their life please ensure you recycle them correctly. There have been studies that show plastic bottles are better for the environment due to less energy being needed to produce the material so you may want to consider this when making your decision however if you ensure you are maximising their use this will have little difference.
